Thanks Jimi (Hey Joe)

Hi,
Another bullshit yesterday:

"Hey Joe" tells the story of a man who is on the run and planning to head to Mexico after shooting his unfaithful wife.
Not politically correct lyrics! LOL!

When will the guitar festival be held this year?
Guitar Feast, or in other words The Guitar Guinness Record, will be taking place on Friday, May 1st.
http://en.heyjoe.pl/component/content/article/29-what-is-the-guitar-guinness-record.html
What is the Guitar Guinness Record?

The annual guitar festival is most of all an occasion for collective play, meetings and exchange of experience, and during this event, an attempt to break the Guinness record is made.

It was Leszek Cichonski's idea to try to break the Guitar Guinness Record when in 1997 he found himself on stage with 17 other guitarists playing "Hey Joe" during the "Blues Express" workshop. The idea for such an undertaking had been developing for several years, until it was finally accepted as worthwhile. It originated in the desire to make something very big and it was the first and most important step to finally breaking the world record!

On 10th of May 2003, "Hey Joe" was played by 588 guitarists in unison! Each year the numbers were successively rising: the year 2004 - 916 guitarists, in 2005 we crossed the magic one thousand barrier with quite a frank margin. Exactly 1201 guitarists played at that time.

On the 1st of May 2006, was a breakthrough for our initiative: for the first time we were able to gather a number of participants big enough to break the current Guitar Guinness Record. 1581 guitarists performed at town square in Wroclaw, Poland.

Exactly one year later, when we counted the cards, it came out that we had 300 guitarists more than in 2006! Our record was beaten by ourselves - 1881 people performed. In 2008 the attendance was about 1951 people, so it was again better than the year before!

Another success was in May 2009: the song "Hey Joe" was performed at the Wroclaw town square by 6346 guitarists. Till then the 2009 number has been the biggest, the biggest number of stars gathered on stage as well and we managed to make the best ambiance, the record was officially recorded in the Guinness Book of Records. Guitarists from entire Poland performed the Jimi Hendrix' song and Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water". The main highlight of the festival was Deep Purple's guitarist Steve Morse, who conducted this unusual guitar orchestra.

The 2010 festival was not lacking in guest star appearances either. Among the performers were: Zbigniew Hołdys, "Dżem" group, Marek Raduli, Jarosław Śmietana and also Greg Koch and Ray Wilson - ex-vocalist of the Genesis group. 4597 guitarists played: "Hey Joe", "Little Wing", "Wild Thing", "Red House Blues" and "Voodoo Child" composed by Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water" and also Breakout's "When I was a little boy".

In  the year 2011, 5601 guitarist gathered to perform with us and among others there were: Al Di Meola, Neil Zaza, Ten Years After, Acid Drinkers. One year later there were 7273 guitarists who performed "Hey Joe" ensemble. The Guitar Guinness Record was broken once again. The main star of the festival was the legendary Europe group. Among other invited guests were: Marcus Miller, Bernie Marsden, Leon Hendrix, Michał Urbaniak and Michał Jelonek, Tomek Lipnicki from Illusion group and Muniek Staszczyk from T. Love group.

The Guitar Guinness Record was broken two years later, in 2014. On the 1st of May 2014 "Hey Joe" was performed by 7344 guitarists at town square (over 1,5 thousand guitars more than in 2013). This year among invited stars are: Nigel Kennedy with his Hendrix Project, Nazareth Group, Malina Moye, The Gipsy Kings, Ira group and much more. To break record we need 7344 guitars.

So, it was a sunny day and people passed by to check out the nonsense.
